Dr. Ronald C. Newbold is Senior Vice President of Business Development. Previously, Dr. Newbold was Executive VP Commercial Operations for Sentigen Biosciences (recently sold to Invitrogen), following his prior position as Senior Director of Strategic Research Initiatives at Merck, where he led their Technology Licensing group from 1996-2004. Prior to joining Merck as a medicinal chemist in 1991, Dr. Newbold was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, following doctoral studies in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Rochester. He received his MBA from Columbia University.
