Intellectual Property

We have developed a significant intellectual property (IP) portfolio that covers our technology platforms, protects our products in development, and blocks others seeking to imitate our approach. Our total patent portfolio includes >210 filed applications and >60 issued patents.

Celldex holds rights in or under several worldwide patent families for the APC Targeting technology, comprising over 20 issued patents and over 70 pending patent applications. Intellectual Property on prospective Notch ligand-based products is based on that derived from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, UK. Subsequent patent filings have focused on specific improvements, a method of enhancing immune responses to tumor cells, immunotherapy compositions, combination treatments and compositions of matter. Over 40 patent applications in three families cover the HBV core particle and methods of treating chronic hepatitis B, with further rights licensed-in. Further international filings are in progress.
